Have Your Say
Over the past year, ReefTO has been out on Country yarning with Traditional Owners about forming a ReefTO Sea Country Alliance – a collective voice for protecting, advocating for improving the health of our Sea Country across the Great Barrier Reef.
We’re now moving into the next phase of engagement, focussing on the details: the Alliance’s purpose, governance, membership and cultural integrity.
This is a key moment for our voices to come together to shape how we care for Sea Country into the future.
How to Get Involved
Regional Dialogues
Over the next few months, we’re hosting Regional Dialogues across the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.
During these one-day forums, we will recap the ReefTO journey so far and explore the ‘building blocks’ of the ReefTO Alliance to inform a preferred Alliance model.
The ReefTO Engagement Team will be in touch directly with PBCs to discuss attendance and confirm each group’s representatives.
To learn more, please contact your PBC.
ReefYARNS (Webinar Series)
ReefTO will soon launch ReefYARNS, a webinar series sharing updates on the Alliance engagement process and our broader work under the Reef 2050 Traditional Owner Implementation Plan.
These sessions are open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Dates coming soon.
