leadership, and shaping the future of the reef?
ReefTO is on the lookout for passionate young Reef Traditional Owners (aged 18–28) to join our Youth Reference Group (YRG)!
This is your chance to help shape the future of Sea Country, bring youth voices into ReefTO’s work, and connect with other inspiring young leaders.
As part of the YRG, you’ll get to lead youth activities at the Sea Country Summit, create content like podcasts and bulletins, influence strategy and policy, and build your leadership skills along the way.
+ Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking six young Reef Traditional Owners (18 – 28) who:
- Are actively connected to the Traditional Owner communities of the reef
- Have demonstrated leadership or community involvement
- Are passionate about Sea Country, cultural self-determination, and the future of the reef
- Can commit to regular meetings and events every two months
- Are keen to collaborate, learn and lead

The Youth Reference Group will include:
- 2 x Co-Chairs (one male, one female – or diverse identities)
- 4 x Members (two male, two female – or diverse identities)
